.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the only one planned for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained working.

Through our firm, you can get your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to edit the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer code from the current domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular rules on who can obtain a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
